What could be more beautiful than love? Especially when your job leads to love?
Several athletes have found their partner for life through their common love for beach volleyball. Like Markéta Sluková & Simon Nausch, who have been together for almost 14 years. Or Walkenhorst & Kleefisch, where their triplets make their family complete. And our newlyweds Kravčenoka & Samoilovs, who got married in Septermber 2022.
Laura Ludwig & Imornefe „Morph“ Bowes
On April 1, 2022, the German and the Englishman said YES. After already having a son together and a second pregnancy in common, the beach volleyball player and the beach volleyball coach finally tied the knot. In the future, the beach volleyball player will go by the name of Ludwig-Bowes.
In August 2011, Pavan became the happiest woman, as she married her man of dreams. You may not recognize Pavan's husband right away, but Schultz has a lot to do with AVP. In addition to being a coach and volleyball genius, he helped found the AVP Academy with Scott Davenport. This year, the Canadian volleyball and beach volleyball player and her husband may celebrate their twelfth wedding anniversary. According to their Instagram pictures, they look as much in love as the first day.
2022 may have been an eventful year for Kravčenoka. In addition to winning the European Championship in Munich, Kravčenoka married the younger brother of Aleksandrs Samoilovs on September 2, 2022. She will now be addressed under the name Anastasija Samoilovs. The wedding of the European champion and her beloved beach volleyball player Mihails was celebrated at the Jurmala Golf Club.
The Austrian and the Norwegian beach volleyball players can hardly believe their luck. Because shortly after the end of the A1 CEV BeachVolley Nations Cup 2022 in Vienna, Ulveseth gave birth to their daughter in August 2022.
Walkenhorst and Kleefisch walked down the aisle in October 2017. Since they both wanted a family together soon, they wasted no time and tried it with a fertilisation. As they say, all good things come in threes – which is why they welcomed their triplets in 2018.
In August 2013, the Brazilian beach volleyball players said YES to each other, about a month after the two came out about their relationship. In October 2019, their son was born and making their life complete.
Carico and Schalk are THE AVP power couple. The couple met during the FIVB World Tour, that lead to a wedding in 2015. Together they have two AVP championships behind them and a sweet little daughter who was born in 2019.
The Czech and the Austrian have already been together for fourteen years and have officially been a married couple since September 16, 2016. In addition to husband, Nausch has also been Sluková's coach for many years. Before collaboration, they decided that their relationship always comes first. This agreement seems to work, because they have been living happily together for many years and in June 2022 they welcomed their first child.
