How to Qualify

 

The total number of teams participating in the Main Draw of the A1 CEV EuroBeachVolley Vienna 2023 is 32 per gender. There is no Qualification Tournament before.

The qualification is based on the ranking of the European Volleyball Federation CEV, respectively the main field is composed as follows:

  • Minimum 29 directly qualified teams comprised of:
  • Minimum 3 and maximum 6 host country teams
  • Minimum 23 and maximum 26 foreign teams

Foreign nations can bring a maximum of 4 teams per gender into the competition.

Maximum 3 Wild Card teams. The National Federations may present their request form for Wild Cards to the CEV at the latest by the registration deadline time and day. The allocation of Wild Cards will be circulated through the event’s confirmed lists. In case fewer Wild Cards are awarded, the Main Draw spot will be allocated to the next eligible team through the CEV Entry Ranking.

The CEV Live Ranking, and therefore our current Entry List for the A1 CEV EuroBeachVolley Vienna 2023, will be available soon. The Drawing of Lots will take place on June 21. You can catch it on our Facebook livestream or on ORF Sport+ from 6 to 7:30 PM.
